Brainspotting

What Is Brainspotting?

Healing the brain, through the body—with compassion and care.

At Paloma’s Serenity, we understand that some pain lives deeper than words. Brainspotting is a powerful, body-based therapy that helps us access and gently release emotional wounds stored in the nervous system—especially those that talk therapy alone may not reach.

Developed by Dr. David Grand, Brainspotting is rooted in the idea that "where you look affects how you feel." During a session, we use a specific eye position—called a brainspot—to help your brain naturally process and release stuck trauma, anxiety, grief, or overwhelming stress.

It’s not about rehashing painful memories. In fact, Brainspotting allows you to heal without needing to relive the story. It honors the wisdom of your body and works from the inside out.

How It Feels

Brainspotting is often experienced as gentle, intuitive, and surprisingly deep. You might notice sensations, emotions, memories, or shifts—your body and brain guiding the process in a way that feels natural and self-directed.

As your therapist, I’m here to hold space—not push, interpret, or analyze. You lead. I follow with calm presence and support, helping your system do what it was always wired to do: heal.

Why We Use It at Paloma’s Serenity

So much of what we carry lives beneath the surface—below logic, below language. Brainspotting meets you there, with gentleness and respect. It honors the intelligence of your nervous system and supports lasting change through safety, presence, and self-awareness.

Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply ready to go deeper, Brainspotting is a doorway back to yourself.
