You belong here—a space where your story matters, your healing is sacred, and peace is possible.

Perinatal and Postpartum Therapy for Mothers Across Colorado
Motherhood brings profound emotional shifts — and sometimes, it brings anxiety, sadness, trauma, or a deep sense of being lost. Whether you're facing postpartum depression, birth trauma, perinatal grief, or the invisible weight of constant caregiving, you're not alone.
At Paloma’s Serenity Counseling, I provide trauma-informed, online therapy for mothers in Colorado during pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. Together, we create a space where you can feel grounded, supported, and safely connected to yourself again. Trauma-informed care, nervous system support, and real connection with other moms who understand.
You’ve Been Carrying So Much
You are the one who keeps it together — through deployments, births, transitions, and grief that rarely gets named. You might be a mother in the thick of postpartum exhaustion, a military spouse navigating yet another move, or a woman who’s experienced trauma that still lives in your body. You’ve learned to be strong, to stay busy, to push through… but lately, it’s all starting to feel like too much.
You dream of feeling grounded again. Of reconnecting with the version of you that existed before the burnout, before the overwhelm, before everything changed. You want space to be honest — to process trauma, loss, and emotional weight without having to explain or justify it. You’re ready to feel more like you again — not just the version of you that survives, but the one who can truly breathe, rest, and heal.
But you wonder if now is the right time. You’re used to putting everyone else first. You may not even be sure what you need — just that you can’t keep doing it all alone. Therapy feels like a risk… but so does continuing to carry all of this without support.

You Might Be…
Crying in the shower because it’s the only place you get a moment alone.
Feeling like motherhood has swallowed who you used to be.
Holding in fear, sadness, and guilt because there’s no space to fall apart.
Carrying anxiety about your partner’s deployment while trying to stay strong for your kids.
Haunted by trauma from the past — birth, military service, or childhood — that still lives in your body.
Exhausted from carrying your family’s emotional weight while forgetting your own.
Pretending you’re okay because breaking down doesn’t feel like an option.
Missing your old self, but unsure how to find her again.
Wondering why you can’t just be “happy” — even though you love your family.
Asking yourself if therapy could really help — or if you’re just too far gone.
Who We Are at Paloma’s Serenity Counseling
Trauma-Informed Online Therapy for PTSD, Anxiety, and Life Transitions Across Colorado
At Paloma’s Serenity Counseling, we specialize in supporting individuals navigating the emotional weight of trauma, PTSD, motherhood, military life, and major life transitions. Whether you’re a parent, a veteran, an active-duty service member, or someone quietly carrying more than others can see — you deserve a space to heal.
We offer trauma-informed, online therapy throughout Colorado, grounded in compassion, neuroscience, and emotional safety. Our approach supports you in processing trauma, managing anxiety, and reconnecting with the parts of yourself that feel lost or overwhelmed. Our mission is to create a safe, inclusive space where healing is possible, your story is honored, and you feel empowered to move forward with more clarity, calm, and connection.

What If I Told You…
You could feel safe enough to let your guard down — and not fall apart.
Therapy could be a space that makes sense of everything you’ve been carrying.
You could feel connected to yourself again — not just as a mom, spouse, or survivor, but as you.
You could move through your days with more peace than panic, more clarity than chaos.
Healing from PTSD or trauma doesn’t mean reliving everything — it means releasing what no longer belongs to you.
You could be supported by someone who understands the weight of military life and the quiet grief of motherhood.
You could stop bracing for the next breakdown — and start building something softer, steadier, and more grounded.
Feeling whole again isn’t a fantasy — it’s a process, and you don’t have to do it alone.
You could be more than just strong — you could be free.
This could be the beginning of coming home to yourself.

Begin Your Healing Journey
If it feels like a match, we’ll schedule your first virtual session. From there, you’ll have a steady, supportive space that’s built just for you — with a trauma-informed therapist who understands the weight you’ve been carrying.
Hi, I’m Barbara.
I work with people who are holding more than anyone can see — especially those navigating motherhood, military life, and the weight of unresolved trauma.
You’re the strong one. The steady one. The one who keeps showing up, even when you’re exhausted, overwhelmed, or quietly falling apart inside. Maybe you’re a mom trying to stay calm through postpartum chaos, a military spouse adjusting to yet another transition, or someone who’s been through hard things and has never had a safe place to lay it all down.
I get what it’s like to feel like you should be okay — to put on a brave face, keep the routines going, and keep the big feelings tucked away because there's just no time to deal with them. I know what it’s like to feel the pressure to hold everyone else together, even when you're barely hanging on yourself.
I’m here to offer something different. A space that’s soft enough to exhale and strong enough to hold whatever you’re carrying. A space where you don’t have to explain yourself, perform, or be “on.” Just come as you are. We’ll go at your pace. And together, we’ll work toward the kind of peace that doesn’t feel out of reach anymore.
You don’t have to do it all alone. Let’s begin when you’re ready.
We do therapy differently.
No blank stares. No clipboards and nods. No rushing you to “move on” before you’re ready. This isn’t a space where you have to explain away your pain or prove that it’s valid.
At Paloma’s Serenity Counseling, we believe healing happens when you feel safe enough to be fully human — messy, complicated, resilient, and real. Whether you’re dealing with trauma, postpartum struggles, the stress of military life, or just trying to keep your head above water, you won’t be met with vague advice or surface-level solutions.
This is not one-size-fits-all therapy. We slow down. We work with your nervous system, your story, and your truth. You set the pace, and I walk beside you — not ahead of you, not behind you, but right there with you.
Here, you can exhale. You can stop performing strength and start practicing softness. You can ask the hard questions, feel the big feelings, and take your healing one grounded step at a time.
You won’t be judged here. You’ll be witnessed, supported, and honored — just as you are.

Testimonials

“Even though our time working together was brief because of distance, it was truly impactful. Barbara radiates warmth and creates a sense of safety that I've often struggled to find with other therapists in my past.”
Grayson Breen
“I am a social worker who does brain spotting practice sessions with Barbara where I will Brainspot her, and she will Brainspot me. Being able to be brainspotted by Barbara has been a great experience. I am not someone who talks a lot during my Brainspotting sessions, which can bother some practitioners, but Barbara has been super welcoming and accepting of this. She has given me the space to process without needing to do it verbally. This has been so helpful for me, and has allowed me to get so much more out of the brainspotting process. For others who may be similar and struggle with the verbal part of therapy, know that you don’t have to talk while Brainspotting, and Barbara can support through the process even with no talking!”

“I started Brainspotting with Barbara because I wasn’t leading my life down the path I wanted. Without going into personal details, I noticed a huge difference within myself after just a few sessions. I understand myself so much better now and have been able to improve my life as a result. Barbara is so kind, patient, and understanding. She makes you feel heard while also providing gentle guidance. I still see her and will continue to do so. 10/10 recommended <3”

“Barbara is my first experience with therapy, and I couldn't have asked for a better guide. She is wonderfully welcoming, which makes it so easy for me to open up. I don’t usually talk about my issues, but during our sessions, I feel completely safe to express myself and share everything on my mind. I genuinely look forward to every single session with her!”
